Welcome to My Tatting Library!
With my ever consuming love for all things tatting it seems only fitting that my tatting library would grow on a constant basis. The only way to keep track of these well loved tatting books is to keep an alphabetized index of them.
"Better yet," I thought to myself, "Why don't I share it with the online tatting community and they can add any thoughts or opinions about the book as they see fit."

Summary: There is quite a variety in the 17 beautiful tatting patterns featured in this softbound tatting book. There are 23 pages total filled with designs such as a doily, heart, 3-D bell, a fan, collars, edgings, ornaments, and more. The photos are black and white and correspond with the patterns written in vintage style instructions. Many patterns are quite simple so this is a great book for a beginner who isn't afraid to try out the vintage style instructions for patterns. This is a great book for any tatter's library. The 7 designers credited are in order of appearance: Florence Anthony, Mary I. Bland, Mrs. W. C. Butrum, Rebecca Hollenbaugh, Darlene Polachic, Myrtle Hamilton, and Alice E. Heim.

Summary: First and foremost Cro-Tatting, while lovely, is not tatting. It is a form of stylized crochet which is closer to needle tatting in it's technique than actual tatting. This soft cover (magazine like) booklet is 29 pages of instruction on how to do this type of stylized crochet called "Cro-Tatting". Why do I have such a book (in fact, kit complete with cro-tatting hooks) in my tatting library? For the same reason that I have "Learn to Needle Tat" book in my tatting library. To learn it so if someone wants to transition from cro-tatting to actual tatting I can have a better frame of reference as to where they are coming from.
