Summary: This spiralbound book is 35 numbered pages with photocopies on one side of the paper only. There is one page that includes the abbreviations key and another page with "designer's notes". There are 4 pages of narrative and diagrams explaining the following techniques:
continuous thread method
manipulating threads (author's title for "front side/back side" tatting)
directional ring (she says this means with the second shuttle so I'm thinking she means thrown off ring by this term?)
split rings
split ring picot count
lark's head knots
There are 9 patterns written in modern style instructions with a small black and white photocopied image on the first page of the written instructions with a larger black and white photocopied image on a separate page at the end of the written instructions. There is also a poem included called "Life's Path". 8 of the patterns are heart shaped motifs that stand alone as their own element. 1 pattern is a lovely and intricate edging of hearts called "Heart Lace" that includes how to turn the corner!
This book is no longer in print. The best way to find it is to Google the name of the book and title and see what purchasing options come up for a possible used book purchase.
