Welcome to My Tatting Library!

Welcome to My Tatting Library!
With my ever consuming love for all things tatting it seems only fitting that my tatting library would grow on a constant basis. The only way to keep track of these well loved tatting books is to keep an alphabetized index of them.
"Better yet," I thought to myself, "Why don't I share it with the online tatting community and they can add any thoughts or opinions about the book as they see fit."

Each book will have it's own blog post. If you happen to have one of these books feel free to share your own thoughts, comments, or reviews in the comment section of the blog post for that book!
Many thanks to:

Special Thanks to:
Joanne from 1-2-3 Stitch
for sending me a photo of a book to use!
The businesses who have given me permission to copy photos and link to their shops are in no way giving me any financial compensation for doing this. My compensation is the satisfaction of getting an alphabetized index of my personal tatting library organized and sharing it with the online tatting community! This is only an index of my tatting library, only the cover of the book is shown.

Oh, and one last thing...

Summary: This book is translated from the Danish version entitled "Den 3. Orkisbog" which is the one I have. It is written in both Danish and English Text. I prefer getting books the Danish books in the original Danish Text when possible to honor my Danish heritage. It has a variety of patterns such as the hat on the cover, easter egg, hanky edgings, doilies, collars, and more.

Summary: Soft cover book with 48 pages. Contains explanations of symbols used in diagrams. There are also instructions for how to tat and how to open a closed ring. There are 52 patterns including motifs, edgings (with instructions on how to turn the corner of the hanky), doilies, mats, insertions and even a garter and a tatted basket. All the patterns are done in diagram form with stitch counts so that any international tatter who understand Arabic Numerals can tat from this book. You may have to use a search engine to locate where to purchase this book. I did happen to see it at Velona Needlecraft and Amazon.
