Summary: Soft cover book with 55 pages of tatting patterns in German text. Back of book includes a key in English to help understand the German tatting abbreviations. The book includes black and white diagrams and photos alongside each written pattern. The patterns are written in the international format (4+4-4-4) so that a tatter who recognizes Arabic numerals (1, 2, 3,...) can understand the stitch count, picot joins and picots. The drawn images include numbered stitch counts by each tatted element so that if the written pattern doesn't make sense the tatter can still tat the design by looking at the drawn image and comparing it with the black and white image of the completed tatting design. Snowflakes, hanky edgings and doily round edgings are a sample of some of the patterns in this book. Please use Google to find availability in order to purchase this book. I've seen it at www.lacis.com in the past.
